Jim Corbett National Park

Everyone loves to see animals in the wild. Jim Corbett National Park, India’s oldest national park, is a good place to see the endangered Bengal tiger. Established in 1936, the park was renamed in 1954 to honor Jim Corbett, author and wildlife conservationist, who helped create this nature reserve. Thick vegetation, including jungles and forest, make it difficult to see the tiger – April to June is best for that, but visitors may see other wildlife, including elephants, leopards, rhinoceros and Himalayan black bears.

Mahasthangarh  ( Bengali :  মহাস্থানগড় ) is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in  Bangladesh . The village Mahasthan in  Shibganj   thana  of  Bogra District  contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara or Paundravardhanapura in the territory of  Pundravardhana . A  limestone slab bearing six lines in  Prakrit  in  Brahmi script , discovered in 1931, dates Mahasthangarh to at least the 3rd century BC. The fortified area was in use until the 8th century AD. Bandarban  ( Bengali  :  বান্দরবান ), is a district in South-Eastern  Bangladesh  , and a part of the  Chittagong Division .  It is one of the three hill districts of Bangladesh and a part of the  Chittagong Hill Tracts , the others being  Rangamati District   and  Khagrachhari District . Bandarban city is the headquarter of the Bandarban district. Bandarban district (4,479 km²) is not only the most remote district of the country, but also is the least populous (population 292,900).
