Harmandir Sahib

The Harmandir Sahib, better known as the Golden Temple is the main tourist attraction in Amritsar, and the most important religious place to the Sikhs. Construction of the temple was begun by Guru Ramdas ji. in the 16th century. In the 19th century, Maharaja Ranjit Singh the upper floors of the temple were covered with gold. It’s a stunning temple, and always full of thousands of pilgrims from all over India, excited to be at a place that they usually only see on television.

Mahasthangarh  ( Bengali :  মহাস্থানগড় ) is one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in  Bangladesh . The village Mahasthan in  Shibganj   thana  of  Bogra District  contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara or Paundravardhanapura in the territory of  Pundravardhana . A  limestone slab bearing six lines in  Prakrit  in  Brahmi script , discovered in 1931, dates Mahasthangarh to at least the 3rd century BC. The fortified area was in use until the 8th century AD. Bandarban  ( Bengali  :  বান্দরবান ), is a district in South-Eastern  Bangladesh  , and a part of the  Chittagong Division .  It is one of the three hill districts of Bangladesh and a part of the  Chittagong Hill Tracts , the others being  Rangamati District   and  Khagrachhari District . Bandarban city is the headquarter of the Bandarban district. Bandarban district (4,479 km²) is not only the most remote district of the country, but also is the least populous (population 292,900).
